Editorial & Medical Review Policy
Health information published online in Pakistan is frequently written by people with no medical qualification, and frequently makes promises no doctor could responsibly make. This page sets out the standard this website holds itself to instead.
Who writes and reviews content
All health content on this website is written or reviewed by Dr. Mahboob Ahmad, MBBS, FCPS (Medicine), a consultant physician with 14 years of clinical experience, registered with the Pakistan Medical Commission. Every article carries a visible byline identifying the reviewing physician.
What gets published, and how it is checked
Different kinds of content on this site are produced and verified in different ways. The table below sets out each one plainly.
| Content type | Who writes it | How it is verified |
|---|---|---|
| Health articles | Dr. Mahboob Ahmad | Written and medically reviewed by the doctor himself, checked against current international guidance before publication |
| Patient stories | The clinic, from the patient's own account | Published only with consent, backed by the patient's real reports and records |
| Visitor reviews | Visitors themselves | Posted unedited; the clinic does not write, reword, or filter them |
| Service pages | The clinic, reviewed by Dr. Mahboob Ahmad | Describe only what the practice actually does, with no outcome guarantees |
Our editorial principles
- No guaranteed outcomes. We do not promise that diabetes will be reversed, that medication will be stopped, or that any specific result will be achieved. Where remission is possible, we say it is possible for some patients, not for all.
- Medication safety comes first. No article on this site instructs readers to stop or reduce medication, including insulin, on their own. Every page discussing medication carries an explicit warning against unsupervised changes.
- Written for Pakistan. Dietary and lifestyle guidance is built around food, routines, and conditions that actually apply here, such as desi meals, Ramadan, and local availability, rather than translated from foreign material.
- Reference ranges are labelled as general. Charts and ranges are presented as reference points, always with a note that individual targets are set by a doctor.
- Clear separation of education and promotion. Articles are written to inform. Where a service is relevant, it is linked plainly, not disguised as clinical advice.
Sources
Content is grounded in established clinical guidance on diabetes diagnosis, targets, and management, together with Dr. Mahboob Ahmad's own clinical experience treating patients across Pakistan. Where general population reference ranges are cited, they reflect widely accepted diagnostic thresholds in current use.
When articles cite figures, they come from named, verifiable sources. Prevalence figures for Pakistan come from the IDF Diabetes Atlas, 11th edition, which reports that 31.4% of Pakistani adults, roughly 34.5 million people, live with diabetes, that about 1 in 4 remain undiagnosed, and that the number is projected to reach 70.2 million by 2050. Claims about remission are anchored in peer-reviewed clinical trials, such as the UK DiRECT trial, in which around 46% of participants achieved remission of type 2 diabetes at one year under structured medical supervision. Diagnostic ranges follow standard international criteria.
No content on this site is sourced from unverified websites, forums, social media posts, or forwarded messages. If a claim cannot be traced to a credible clinical source or to documented experience in this practice, it does not get published.
How accuracy is maintained
Medical guidance changes, so a policy of writing once and forgetting is not good enough. Articles on this site are re-reviewed when the underlying guidelines change, and whenever a reader or patient raises a point that deserves a second look. The dates shown on articles reflect substantive updates to the medical content, not cosmetic refreshes made to look current. If a page has not needed to change, its date does not change either.
What this site will never do
Some lines are fixed, regardless of what performs well online. This website will never promote miracle cures, herbal formulas, or any product claimed to end diabetes without medical care. It will never sell supplements, and nothing on the site earns a commission. It will never guarantee an outcome, because no honest physician can. And it does not publish a consultation fee, because treatment here is individual: what each patient needs is discussed directly with the clinic, not advertised as a package.
Patient stories
Patient photographs and video interviews are published only with the patient's explicit consent, and are always labelled as individual results. We do not fabricate testimonials, and we do not publish stories that imply a result is typical when it is not.
The documented patient stories on this site are built from real records: the patient's own reports, readings, and words, with consent on file for each one. The reviews page works differently: reviews there are written and posted by visitors themselves and appear unedited. The clinic does not draft them, polish them, or remove critical ones to improve the average.
Corrections and updates
If you believe any content on this site is inaccurate or out of date, please contact the clinic at +92 343 8752531. Content found to be inaccurate is corrected or removed.
The easiest way to report a problem is a WhatsApp message to +92 343 8752531: mention the page and the point you believe is wrong. Reports are read by the clinic and checked by Dr. Mahboob Ahmad personally, and genuine errors are corrected promptly, not quietly left in place. You do not need to be a patient to report one.
The scope of this content
Everything published here is educational. It exists to help you understand blood sugar, medicines, food, and risk well enough to ask better questions, not to replace the answers a doctor gives after seeing your reports. No article can weigh your kidney function, your other medicines, your age, and your history the way an individual consultation does. If something you read here seems to apply to you, the right next step is to book a consultation and have it assessed properly, not to change your treatment on your own.
